The Titration Process
Titration is a method of measuring chemical concentrations using a reference solution. The titration method requires dissolving a sample with an extremely pure chemical reagent, also known as the primary standards.

The titration process involves the use of an indicator that will change color at the endpoint to signal the that the reaction has been completed. The majority of titrations occur in an aqueous medium, however, sometimes glacial acetic acids (in petrochemistry) are utilized.
Titration Procedure

Indicator
An indicator is a chemical that undergoes a distinct, visible change when the conditions in the solution are altered. Chemical indicators can be used to monitor and control a chemical reaction that includes titrations.
